Suhayla Sabir, born in Houston, Texas as Djuana Jamelle Johnican, is a rap artist, dancer, performer, and songwriter of the group Oaktown's 3.5.7., as well as a published poet and group exercise fitness instructor. Suhayla began her career performing in the music and entertainment industry as a dancer for MC Hammer and the Posse. This led to her becoming a recording artist and performer for the all-female Hip Hop group, Oaktown's 3.5.7, developed and produced by MC Hammer. As a dancer and now recording artist, Suhayla recorded and released two albums, "Wild and Loose" and "Fully Loaded'. Both albums included songs she co-wrote. Some of her poems became songs used on the group's second album "Fully Loaded", which was recorded and released through Capitol Records. After a successful and memorable career in the music industry, Suhayla took time off to start a family. Her love for dance lead to her becoming a Licensed Zumba Instructor in 2009 and began teaching classes in 2010. Now bitten by the fitness bug, Suhayla has completed numerous fitness certifications including Group Exercise Fitness Instructor and Personal Training. No stranger to writing Suhayla became a published poet in 2017. With a collection of her work appearing in the Anthology of Poetry "Penning My Way Off Life Support" by Girl Me Too. Leading her to complete "Conditional Truths" Suhayla currently teaches Dance Fitness and Zumba classes at a local gym in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex in Texas, where she also resides with her husband and the two youngest children of five of a blended family.
