Confessions of a History Hunter: From the Darkness of Despair to the Coins of the Roman Empire (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798247373520)

Some treasures are buried deep in the dirt. Others are hidden in the shadows of the mind.

In the endless, black-soil fields of Ukraine, beneath layers of history, lie the lost secrets of the Roman Empire. And above them walks Alex Shadow-a man who sought a metal detector to escape the crushing darkness of everyday despair, only to find something far more profound.

Confessions of a History Hunter is not just a gritty memoir about digging up old coins. It is a raw, honest journey where the harsh physical reality of metal detecting collides with the unexplainable.

Inside this true story, you will discover:

• The Real Hunt: The pure adrenaline of unearthing a 2nd-century silver denarius and genuine 11th-century gold from the mud.

• The Paranormal Shift: Eerie encounters at the ruined estate of Count Walewski, virtual dreams, and the chilling realization that the past fiercely guards its secrets.

• The Reality of War: How the 2022 Russian invasion shattered the landscape, forcing a reevaluation of life, hobbies, and the Ukrainian soul.

• The Philosophy of the Search: Why we dig, what we are truly running from, and what we find in the silence of the fields.

This is a 100% human story, lived and written by a Ukrainian detectorist. If you crave authentic treasure-hunting adventures mixed with a touch of unexplained mysticism and raw survival, grab your shovel and step into the fields. The hunt begins now.
