Rebuilding a life

Everyone always assumed the apocalypse would happen in a day, an hour, a minute. No one ever thought it would take weeks. The Superflu was slow and lethal. It incubated for weeks. It spread around the entire world before anyone even knew. Some people were immune. Some people recovered. But the rest of humanity? In the end, it killed 97% of them.

Maggie Shearin is not a prepper. She does not have a hidden cabin in the mountains. She does not have a huge cache of supplies. When she awakens from her fever, society is evaporating around her. Grief stricken, struggling to just keep moving, Maggie scrambles to survive. Join Maggie on her journey to reclaim a sense of purpose in an almost empty world. Life is worth living, and friends make it all worthwhile.
