Born on October 23, 2000, to Rodrigo Alvarez, an ophthalmologist, and Roxana Sanguineti, a former geophysicist, Roxana C. Alvarez was an introverted child who liked making up stories and telling them to herself. In June 2009, Alvarez and her family went to live in Boston, Massachusetts for one year, returning mid-2010. There, she not only learned English, but also made friends whose imaginative childhood games eventually inspired her to become a writer, a decision that persisted long after she left. Since then, she worked tirelessly towards fulfilling her dream, and wrote several books, of which CONSTANCE AND VALERY CHALICE: HAUNTED TOWN is the first to be published, a feat she achieved with much help from her father in her first year of high school, at the age of 14.
