Copilot for CRAs: Work Faster with Microsoft 365 Copilot Without Crossing the Line: A Field Guide for Clinical Research Associates (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798184743042)

Microsoft 365 Copilot can hand a Clinical Research Associate back hours every week, on trip reports, visit prep, site emails, document review, and trackers. But generic AI guides don't know what SDV is, and they certainly won't tell you what must never go into a prompt. Cross the wrong line and a time-saver becomes an audit finding.

This is the field guide written for the CRA's actual week, by someone who's done the job. Every workflow is classified by one simple system:

• Green: run freely.
• Yellow: real work, under three conditions: de-identify, verify, own it.
• Red: participant data, source documents, and sponsor-confidential material that never touch a prompt. No exceptions.

You'll set up a custom instruction once so Copilot speaks like clinical research, learn the four-part prompt that turns ninety seconds of intention into thirty minutes saved, and run proven playbooks for:

• Visit prep and pre-visit briefs
• Trip reports and follow-up letters, the biggest time sink, handled end to end
• Difficult site emails, escalations, and meeting recaps
• Protocol amendment summaries and document review
• Trackers, logs, and Excel that maintain themselves

You'll also learn how Copilot fails, the swapped date, the confident invention, the smoothed-over discrepancy, and how to catch it every time, because in regulated work a missed error doesn't bounce an email; it seeds a finding.

The core principle runs through every page: Copilot drafts. You judge. The tool does the assembly. The judgment, the part that protects patients and data, stays yours.

Includes a ready-to-install custom instruction, a complete color-coded prompt library, and a one-page Red Line card to keep by your screen.

Whether your company switched Copilot on for everyone, you subscribed yourself, or you're still deciding, and whether your sponsors have an AI policy or have said nothing at all, the method is the same. It doesn't assume your setup. It assumes your standards.
