Corporate Snare: A Jim Cavanaugh Saga (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781533478818)

DuannaLee (pronounced Dew-wahna-Lee) was named after a family friend who was written up in Ripley's Believe It or Not! In her teens, Duanna discovered she could bring her daydreams to life through writing. Her first work was an autobiography of her unusual childhood called Me, DuannaLee, with her second a novella about missing persons. For her, history came alive through genealogical research, a youthful hobby that has lasted a lifetime. Recently completing her fifth novel since retirement, her works have been historical fictions in different genres. Duanna feels most at home in the rural Mother Lode gold-rush country of the Sierra Nevada mountain range in California. Divorcing after 20 years, she delights in being a mother of two and grandmother of three. An adventurous spirit, descended on all eight lines from pioneering great-grandparents who emigrated from Europe, she has herself twice moved to distant states without a job or a home lined up in order to carve out a new life, while solely responsible for dependant family members. She also enjoys drawing, portrait painting, crocheting, sewing, reading, but no longer scuba dives. Serving several years in Sheriff's Search & Rescue administration and communications, she was able to utilize her training as a general-class amateur radio operator. As secretary of a local historical commission for several years, she became well acquainted with Texan history. A business administration major in college, Duanna held upper management positions (including corporate officer) that were weighted toward accounting and payroll, and included proofreading and editing of engineering and legal documents. Currently residing in College Station, Texas, she is a member of Brazos Writers and several internet writers groups. She now lives in South Dakota with her second husband.
