He received his PhD in Traffic and Transportation Planning and Management from the School of Transportation and Logistics, Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu, China, in 2016. He is currently an associate professor and a Chutian Fellow in the School of Civil Engineering at Wuhan University. He has authored or coauthored more than 190 papers in reputed journals.

Jun Liu received his PhD in Information Engineering from Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu, China, in 1999. He is currently a professor of Artificial Intelligence and the director of the Artificial Intelligence Research Centre (AIRC) at the School of Computing, Ulster University. He has been actively working in the field of AI for many years.
