After returning from China, within months Kristen was selected amongst her peers to attend the prestigious Washington Center program. The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars is an independent, nonprofit organization serving hundreds of colleges and Universities in the United States. There, Kristen worked for a government PR firm; Tricom Associates where she assisted at the International Association of Firefighters Convention with guest speaker, Vice President Joe Biden. Also she helped coordinate the Merger between Delta and Southwest airlines film for the Association of Flight Attendance Union. Kristen continues to position herself daily for greatness, keeping her favorite quote in mind: "Success is a journey, not a destination." Ms. Hopkins has been a guest speaker at Delaware State University's Mass Communications Department Media Day Panel, Georgia State University's Discussion with a Publicist Seminar, Moore Middle School's Career Day, Georgia State University and University of Georgia Infinite Appeal's Fashion Retreat. Kristen recently received the 30 and under award for Women of excellence and Leadership. Kristen holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Public Relations from Delaware State University and currently is on the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation and HBCU Consortium committee. She also is a member of the City Club of Buckhead and the Chinese American Association of Atlanta.
