Jim and a client end up on Division Street where Jim meets the young woman in question, but they quarrel and Jim is tossed out of Butch McGuires at her request. She is later found brutally murdered and raped. Jim becomes a suspect and then the prime witness in the case. For fear of assassination, he is put under close police protection. During the hearing, he undergoes a withering cross examination. Not going to tell you how it ends except to say it's worth the read.
