Dawnfeather (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798235004870)

In the ancient world of Paleoterra, dinosaurs wield swords and alchemy in a struggle to control the power of a fallen star.

Ash, a clanless young Utahraptor, has spent years serving the brilliant alchemist Nadya Astra. After the death of his mate left him without a home or purpose, Nadya gave him both. Now she has sent him into enemy territory to spy on Melaene, a ruthless warlord gathering the scattered shards of Amarynthine and the elemental power they contain.

But the deeper Ash ventures into Melaene's seaside citadel, the more he discovers that Nadya has hidden the truth about the war, about his mate's death, and about Ash himself.

When the last fragile Dawnfeather egg becomes a hostage in their conflict, Ash must choose between the mentor who betrayed him and the enemy he was taught to hate. His decision will determine the fate of a dying clan, the power of the fallen star, and how their story will be remembered sixty-five million years later.

Dawnfeather is the first book in The Last Days of Paleoterra, an epic young adult fantasy filled with sentient dinosaurs, swordplay, elemental magic, grief, betrayal, and redemption.
