Lizzy Rice, the blonde one. Born in Wales 1955. Lived in Wales, England and Scotland. She has worked as an English Teacher in England and spent four years in China teaching English. Lizzy now lives in Spain with her husband and has four grown up children and seven grand-children. Lizzy continues to teach English to Chinese children remotely from her home in Spain. Cathy Martin, the brunette one. Born in Glasgow 1956. Worked in Scotland, France, Greece and Gibraltar. Cathy now lives in Scotland with her partner and has one grown up son. She has an HND in Applied Ecology and has worked as an Education & Awareness Officer. Cathy continues to fund raise to support schools and orphanages in Africa. She has a passion for wildlife and enjoys spending time in Africa developing her skills and knowledge of animal behaviour and habitat conservation. We started to write our Novel in 2008, we felt we had a story to tell. The characters are based loosely on us, but the story is fiction, apart from one or two funny instances. We are just two ordinary women who thought it would be fun to write a novel.
