Maria, the beautiful Russian former spy agent living with rookie FBI agent Ricardo Padilla, received a message from an unknown person giving her a heads-up on what had been discussed between Putin and the US President back in 2019. They took no action on Padilla's message but Maria and Padilla were attacked and their apartment set on fire a few months later as they slept. Luckily, they survived the attack and the fire. No more message for Padilla but the messages to Maria kept coming. Then Maria was attacked at the apartment. Were the Russians trying to eliminate Maria? Agent Reynolds determined that it was not the Russians based on the latest message sent to Maria. This led both Padilla and his partner Reynolds to go back and review Pentagon after-action reports from missions in Africa that Padilla led while in the Army.
