Ron and his wife Ella have been married over 60, never boring years. It began in Los Angeles, and later took them to Alaska for 4 years, then Denver then Lake City, Colorado, for the next 28. In those 60 years, Ron was an Assistant Station Manager for Bonanza Airlines, an air traffic controller, an Allstate Insurance Agent, and owner developer of the Golconda Resort at Lake City and later owner of a restaurant in Sun Valley, Idaho. While working for Allstate, Ron and his family vacationed in Lake City Colorado and later bought the old summer fishing camp, called the Golconda Resort. For the next 17 years, the family worked together, building that little fishing camp into an international destination resort. Years later while living in Ajijic Mexico, Ron penned his first book, The Secret of Golconda, the story of those unimaginable 17 years. In Ajijic, after dining regularly at Tio Domingo's Restaurant and listening to the incredible stories of the owner, Salvador, he told him he was going to write a book about his life. Salvador looked at him and said, "You're Crazy." A week later, while in the restaurant, Ron asked if he'd told his family about the book. Salvador said yes, and Ron asked what they thought.
