I grew up avidly reading fiction and fantasy. Myths and legend from all over the world were a favorite. So much so, my fantastical world was more real than reality. Then I became an adult and went to work and the real world took over, but all the time I was thinking that making up stories (preferably fantasy) or making gardens would be more fun. Both involve creating worlds within which to escape. Kids' story making So I when I was asked for stories by the 4 and 5 year old children in my life, I found a reason to return to my childhood world of myth and fantasy and write kids' books. My first books 'Pearl Magic', 'Tiger Magic' and 'Golden Magic' in the children's series 'Riding the Lung-Wang, King Dragons of China' are a step in the right direction. Rosamund and her Fairy Garden builds on the theme.
