I attended Royal High School in Simi Valley, and then transferred to Taft High School in Woodland Hills. I had broken numerous track and field records even pulling off the hat trick of becoming only the second male athlete since 1911 to win the 100, 200, and 400-meter sprints in the City Section Championships. Coming back strong and winning it again I became the 1st to ever win 100, 200, and 400-meter sprints in the City Section Championships. I was now TAFT HIGH SCHOOL'S STAR ATHLETE. After dominating the track and field industry my speed could not be questioned. That's when I was considered a blue-chip star athlete.
