Sharman Badgett-Young has been an amateur sleuth since she read her first Hardy Boys mystery as a young tomboy. Over the years, her detective skills have paid the bills as a research analyst and a Marriage and Family Therapist. She combined her training in mental health, and her research abilities to create the dream disability that Tiegen suffers in DREAM MIRE. In 2014, Sharman won the non-fiction story writing contest sponsored by Write On the Sound in Edmonds, Washington. She has also completed three 50,000+ word drafts of novels during November in 2013 through 2016, thereby winning NaNoWriMo in four consecutive years. Dream Mire is her second novel, and is a companion novel to Kiln Zone. Each book stands alone, but they both take place in the fictional town of Woodsdale, Washington, and contain some overlapping characters in the police department. Sharman resides in the Pacific Northwest. When not writing, she spends rainy weekdays at the pottery studio, rainy weekends combing the woods for hidden geocaches, and rainy nights curled up with her husband.
