The cities of Memphis and Saint Louis are also sitting in active zones and they are not as prepared for ground motion that topples buildings and freeways as the people in California are prepared. Oklahoma and Texas have been having unnatural earth movements, but for now it seems unlikely a magnitude 6.5 or greater quake will occur in cities in those states. Tom Willett lived in the Los Angeles area for more than thirty years. He experienced many quakes, including the big Northridge quake of 1994. Tom worked as an entertainer, musician, movie extra and actor. He is best remembered for his role as "Tom" in the popular 1988 to 1992 NBC TV sitcom, Dear John. He has appeared in more than 100 movies and more than 140 TV shows. He also has worked in commercials. He is now retired and living in Tennessee. Tom has a YouTube account which he started in 2006. His YouTube name is Featureman. Some of his videos show some of the damage of the 1994 quake.
