László Péter graduated as a teacher of physics and chemistry in 1992 and obtained his Ph.D. degree (chemistry) in 1995 at the Eötvös University of Budapest, Hungary. He spent two years at the University of Texas at Austin (USA) as a postdoctoral researcher and one year at the Hitachi Research Laboratory (Japan) as a visitor scientist. He then joined the research institute of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, now called the Wigner Research Centre for Physics, where he works as a scientific advisor. He became Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in 2013. Besides the electrodeposition of magnetic/non-magnetic multilayers which is his major field, he also deals with structural analysis of electrodeposited alloys, corrosion studies, composition depth profile analysis of electrodeposited metals, electrochemical hydrogen permeation, electrochemical impedance analysis and scanning electron microscopic investigation of various physico-chemical systems. He is the co-author of 100research papers, 2 book chapters and 1 textbook.
