An Honors graduate from the University of Pune, He also graduated in cinema from the Film and Television Institute of India with a rare flair in Hindi and English equally .He later studied Journalism, Press relations and Management. His English novels, 'Neither: The Birth of Transgender, ' analyzes the evolution, the turbulences, social, economic and legal discriminations in the lives of transgender people and 'Behind the moving Images' attempts to take a realistic yet measured peep in to the lives of stars and their makers and tell us vividly, how darkness overpowers them once the arcs are faded away, albeit unknown to the outside world most of the times, His other book 'Mohammad Rafi: The Melody Man' is a tribute to one of the greatest Playback singer of Indian cinema.
