Emasculating Warriors: A Nation At War with its Warriors (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781792984433)

This work exposes the warrior culture in a way that it has not been seen and in a way that shows why we are corrupting this group and all who fight with them. With scholarly research, novel thinking, personal experience and detailed interaction with current literature on the topic, extensive material is offered to show the problems that service members are having in their return from war: PTSD only being a part of the problem. Developing from here is a look at what a warrior really is, against popular opinion, and how that person is separated from others who end up in war. This picture is further developed by laying out how important it is to orient the warrior for war with a just cause. Failing to consider the moral considerations of war and killing has its own consequences as are shown. This needs to be corrected not just for warriors but for all who end up in the military. The book concludes with the challenge for all to realize that going to war is not a matter solely for those who fight. All have responsibility to stand for truth and defend what is believed to be right. As a nation and military, we must do all we can to equip true warriors to stand in consonance with their natures and purposes as defenders of justice: just warriors in a just battle for a just cause! If you truly want to know what war can do to the soul, body and mind, this book is for you. If you want to know why so many war veterans suffer post war, this book is for you. If you are interested in knowing the mindset of a genuine warrior, this book is for you. If you are going to send your military family members and friends to war, this book is for you. If you cannot explain why we should go and take the lives of people in other countries and know whether it is an act of killing or murder, this book is for you. If you are uncertain in any way as to the justification for war, this book is for you! An Excerpt: "For the warrior, killing is exhilarating. It is the act of seeing another human being and with excitement pulsing the blood through the body, it is shooting that person with every intention and hopeful desire to kill. This is what the warrior wants. This is where he excels. And in view of this, now you can begin to see just how wide the chasm of understanding is between you and the warrior. I know what many are thinking; this is all preposterous. No one really thinks like this. However, I must say that not only are you wrong, but we are still not done. There is more. We have not yet completed the picture. Consider this as well...."As you can see, to read this book is to change your perception of war and those who fight in it. That has to happen, or we simply should not go to war.
