Nezu Press presents an anthology of thirty-two tales of Egyptian mummies originally published between 1827 and 1939, half of which were written by female authors, and a third of which have not been republished since they first appeared in print. Alongside stories by well-known writers, such as Arthur Conan Doyle's 'Lot No. 429', Guy Boothby's 'A Professor of Egyptology', and H. Rider Haggard's 'Smith and the Pharaohs', there are a number of tales by forgotten authors, such as Jane G. Austin's 'After Three Thousand Years', Eva M. Illustrated with forty black-and-white images, some of which accompanied the stories when they were first published, this volume also includes a 29-page introductory essay by Gina R.
