Gilead Lancaster, MD, is a practicing cardiologist at Bridgeport Hospital, serving as the director of their cardiology testing laboratory.

He is an associate clinical professor of medicine at the Yale University School of Medicine. He also regularly lectures on issues of healthcare reform.

In 2008, Lancaster helped cofound Healthcare Professionals for Healthcare Reform, a group that champions bipartisan input for healthcare reform from active healthcare professionals. The group's proposal, EMBRACE, was published in the Annals of Internal Medicine in 2009, and Lancaster was the lead author.
