Empath (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781974254613)

In August 1914, the world was involved in the war to end all wars. Thousands were dying and there was a profound sense of loss. Fortunately, there were others who sensed the sadness and intervened, but the peace would be temporary. In the late 1930s, the world once again succumbed to anger and hatred, thrusting the global population into World War II. The mediators who settled the first war returned and again brought peace to our world. Nearly eighty years later, humanity has forgotten the lessons from the past. Tensions between nations are high and under the influence of an angry, vengeful leader, our president could set loose the destructive force of our nuclear arsenal. The world's only hope lies in the hands of Alcy Elden, a high school teacher. Unaware she has a special gift, she unknowingly exposes her identity and finds herself in danger. As she is walking to class one morning, her world suddenly goes dark. Rescued by a benevolent race of aliens, Alcy discovers her gift is the only hope of stopping World War III. She cares deeply for her world and must find a way to save it from the dark intentions of a rogue alien and his soldiers. With the help of her Celestian friends, will Alcy find the strength to fulfill her destiny and save us all?
