Hew is your standard, Chicago-born southpaw ginger scorpio. Often considered an 'introvert', Hew spends much of his time at home, writing or reading. Hew still recalls the first book he'd ever read; 'Goosebumps #7: Night of the Living Dummy'. Much credit is owed R.L. Stinefor getting him interested in both reading and writing. Hew began writing when he was fairly young. His earliest memory of producing fiction was writing a fanfiction for the Lego sets 'Throwbots' (or 'Slizers' if you weren't in the U.S.). It was an epistolary, alternating between journal entries written by a NASA astronaut on a mission to the 'Throwbot' home world, and 'Turbo', one of the 'Throwbots'. He never considered writing as something to take seriously until mid-2013, and began trying his hand at a few different novels, none of which really ended up working out too well. In 2014, he started work on what would become his first novel, 'Straight Arrow Heart'; a paranormal mystery about love, murder, and parenting. 'Straight Arrow Heart' was published July 3rd 2016, although, he had finished the final draft in mid-2015.
