Dr. Alfred J. Plechner, a University of California Davis School of Veterinary Medicine graduate, has practiced in Los Angeles for nearly four decades. He has been an owner practitioner for 40 years at the California Animal Hospital, which has been ranked among the top percentile of animal clinics in the country. He has always been interested in nutrition, allergy and the relationship between hormone-immune imbalances and diseases in dogs, cats and horses. His research has been published in veterinary journals, human medical journals and popular animal magazines. He has written several books, including his most recent release, "Pets at Risk: From Allergies to Cancer, Remedies for an Unsuspected Epidemic," and his first book, "Pet Allergies."
