Terry Jones is best known as a founder member of Monty Python's Flying Circus. He was also a successful historian, performer, director and writer for film, radio and television. His children's books are enormously and enduringly popular, including Bedtime Stories, The Knight and the Squire, The Lady and the Squire, Nicobobinus and The Saga of Erik the Viking.

Michael Foreman illustrated a vast range of books, many of which he has also written.
