This book documents the creation of the computer science faculty in Herat, Afghanistan. Bernd Mahr is head of the department Formal Logic and Programming at the faculty for Electrical Engineering and Informatics at the Technical University of Berlin (Germany). Along with his co-editor, Nazir Peroz, they manage the Centre for International and Intercultural Communications (ZiiK).
