Eugene's Golden Gate Glitch: Good Little Souls (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798299012521)

The enchanting saga continues as a strange glitch appears in the Friend Machine. Convinced that their invention is broken and their friendship is at risk, Eugene embarks on a brave journey to San Francisco to meet up with his friend Elias and fix their masterpiece. He leaves behind the familiar glow of Cincinnati's gas lamps for the foggy, bustling streets of a new city.

As the boys reunite, they discover that the Friendship Machine's "glitch" is not a flaw to be repaired, but a feature to be embraced. Through a series of unexpected encounters, they learn that true connection isn't about mechanical perfection, but about the beautiful imperfections that make friendships unique. The journey reveals that the most valuable inventions, like the most cherished friendships, have their own heartbeats. Elias writes to Eugene from his new home, sharing how the machine's story is already sparking curiosity in his new community:

"The machine is doing well. I spend my afternoons cleaning it and putting the pieces back together just the way you showed me. I know you said the machine was a reminder of our friendship, but it's more than that to me. It is our friendship. And I'm going to take good care of it. Thank you for leaving it with me, Eugene. It was the best gift anyone has ever given me."

This second book is a heartwarming testament to the idea that a friendship forged in the gears of a machine can grow and thrive, even across the miles.
