She is adjunct instructor for spirituality courses at Phillips Theological Seminary. Batchelder is former feature writer for The Washington Star. Batchelder co-authored The Life and Times of Henry Bellmon (1992), her father's memoir, which was awarded the 1993 best book of non-fiction by the Oklahoma Center for the Book.
