She has published books and essays on Vincent van Gogh (including Van Gogh, in Phaidon's Art & Ideas series) as well as articles on Antoine Watteau, Mary Cassatt, Fernand L馮er, Frida Kahlo, and twentieth-century appropriations of Pre-Columbian artefacts.
