Exploding Whales Is Not Recommended: A Slightly Embellished True Story (Hardcover) (ISBN-13: 9781324125228)

When an intrepid young reporter and her trusty gull colleague discover a dead sperm whale on the beach, the duo sets out to interview the residents of their sleepy seaside town to figure out what to do with it. Do they drag it out to sea? Dress it in a suit and tie, or honor it with a funeral? Do they just leave it for other animals to eat? The one solution everyone rallies behind is blowing the whale up. Unfortunately, detonating a hundred-thousand-pound carcass has unforeseen--and explosive--repercussions.

Exploding Whales Is Not Recommended is a clever, surprising, and laugh-out-loud funny spin on a real-life historical event, and a reminder to really think before you act.
