Fairspell Academy (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798235619470)

Dragon rider school was supposed to be a dream. Instead, it's a battlefield.

Eva Thirsk and her former pack dragon, Perrell, have come to Fairspell Academy to prove they belong among Destia's elite riders. But the academy's shining towers hide rot beneath the stone. To the nobles, Eva's a lowborn imposter; to the instructors, Perrell's a runt better suited to hauling cargo than facing war.

Every lesson is a reminder-they weren't meant to be here.

Worse, Eva's magic is changing. She commands earth, yet she can see the currents of fire and air-and even draw on them. That kind of magic blending is forbidden, outlawed since the last mage who tried it burned half the continent. But the more Eva resists it, the stronger it grows.

As rivalries sharpen and old secrets rise from the depths of Fairspell, Eva and Perrell will have to decide how far they're willing to go to claim their place in a world that was never built for them.
