Faith Beyond Credentials: The Journey and Heart of a Lay Pastor (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798268615968)

From childhood trauma and addiction to faithful pastoral service, Pastor Michael L. Winship's story proves that God doesn't call the equipped-He equips the called. Faith Beyond Credentials offers both inspiring memoir and practical manual for anyone sensing God's call to ministry but believing they lack the credentials, education, or background to answer it. Whether you're a bi-vocational pastor, late-in-life believer exploring ministry, or volunteer serving in nursing homes and overlooked communities, this book provides the roadmap you need.

Discover how to pursue theological education outside seminary, build credibility without formal credentials, officiate weddings and funerals with confidence, and develop sustainable bi-vocational ministry. Pastor Mike's transparent journey-through assisted living facilities, RV parks, cancer diagnosis, and beyond-demonstrates that authentic pastoral care happens wherever believers faithfully serve. Complete with practical appendices, sample forms, prayers, and biblical encouragement, this book equips you to step forward boldly into God's calling, credentials or not.
