Falling Hard: Free Falling Duet - Book One (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781969305054)

Cal

I never asked to play the role of protector. I'm the guy next door, the best friend's older brother. So why am I not upset when my little sister's best friend starts invading my space when my mom and little sister bail? Now she's everywhere and I can't get her out of my damn head. But I'm heading for the NHL; I don't have time for whatever this is. So, why does it bother me so much when she suddenly vanishes? And then when she suddenly reappears years later on the arm of our stupid, mouth-watering new goalie? With my past crashing into the present, I'll do anything to get my girl back - even if it means I have to play nice and kiss the man I hate just to get a few minutes with the girl of my dreams?

Jonah

I've been dreaming of my escape for as long as I can remember; I've got one foot out the door, on my way to being the NHL's hottest new goalie. Until a family crisis derails my plans and sends me spiraling - that is, until I see her - the girl sitting under a tree with a chip on her shoulder and a hatred for all things hockey. Especially the players. Now, the one person I'm desperate to have throws me puck-deep into the friend zone. My plan to win over her heart by convincing her to be my fake girlfriend is working perfectly until her past decides he's ready to fight for a future with her. The only problem? He's my new teammate and I can't stand that he's already broken my girl's heart. There's no way he's winning her over, not if I have anything to say about it. Not even if he says please and kisses me.

Sutton

I've always been an outcast - overlooked by my childhood crush, and not good enough for my best friend that saves me time and again. I'm still running from the broken past I left behind, but when the one man who's always been there for me asks for help, how can I say no? And now I'm pretending to be his girlfriend, moving back to my hometown, and reopening wounds that never fully healed. Suddenly, I'm stuck in the middle between two teammates that hate each other, with my past and present colliding in an inferno of hate and desire. Will I be the reason these men tear their team apart, or could facing our feelings be the very thing their team needs to help them on the road to victory?
