Edie

He's everything I hate in a male: cocky, walks with a swagger, thinks his poop doesn't stink, and that every woman within arm's length should fall at his feet. A man-whore who goes through women like they're a bag of chips to be enjoyed until he's had his fill. He corners me one day, calling me his Little Morsel, getting mad when I try to escape his massive arms and alluring smell. I touch his arm accidentally, triggering something neither of us saw coming. I run, doing everything in my ability to avoid him, but he follows, putting his life in danger simply to be with me, and it takes him giving it his all before I can see the man behind the sins.

If I cannot have a mate like my brothers, I will simply enjoy the females that are throwing themselves at me. That is what I told myself as I was jumping from bed to bed, but oh, how I came to regret that decision when the God of Ruk put my mate within reach. The soft touch of her hand triggers a bond so powerful that I follow her across the cosmos, knowing if caught, I will be sentenced to death. But then one rising disaster appears in the space around us, and I know this is the true test. I sit her down, buckling her into the chair so that I know she is safe, and turn around with the full intention of sacrificing myself to save her and the others. Will their Lord of Light intervene and give me a chance to prove to them my worthiness and the time to make her MINE?! Or will my sins finally demand their due?
