Fatal Feast: The Truffle Hunter's Mysteries (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798323725458)

Running a successful restaurant has its ups and downs, though, protecting the immense wealth the Marchese family acquired brings a whole other set of problems. Most concerning is how to keep their loved ones safe, which may prove to be impossible. Though, the massive riches Maria's grandparents achieved after relocating in Oregon is mind boggling. Their extended family doubt the streets in America are really paved in gold, instead they believe there is something much more sinister behind their sudden wealth. Why else would they depart their home in Italy, so abruptly?

Maria grew up enduring the dark underbelly of the family Truffle business in the Pacific Northwest. Now suspicious family rumours spiral around a tale of rare gems once in the hands of an ancestor, a maritime captain, who had forever disappeared into the sea after sailing the Puget Sound. Was sunken treasure waiting to be found? The estranged relatives believed something far more sinister, whispering accusations about the Marchese's recovering fortunes from the banks of the ocean. Could they be hiding something valuable?

Maria's niece, Amy Day, needs all the help she can get in solving murder in the quaint town of Rosebud. Truffle hunting dogs team up to sniff out crime. What they find is astounding. Amy immerses herself in the mysteries surrounding her aunt's affairs and learns there are a whole lot of secrets not being told. Why? What might she find?
