Fathering Forward: Shift Into Drive And Quit Stalling (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781511884778)

We're living in a fatherless generation. Men are checking out and walking out of their families at an alarming rate. Without intentional guidance, fathers are left to just try to bluff their way through, hoping their fears of failure will never be exposed. A staggering number of men are afraid that they don't have what it takes to be good fathers. Fathering Forward(TM) reveals an age old map for fathers to follow with their sons and sons-in-law. This book takes a look at this well-worn P.A.T.H.(TM) that David's family has journeyed for nearly a century. This book provides hope for fathers that are trying to tread water in this fatherless generation. Fathering Forward encourages men to avoid leaving their son's preparation to chance and wishful thinking. These pages encourage men to intentionally lead their families under the power of Jesus Christ. God led David to start the Fathering Forward movement because he felt unprepared to raise boys even after growing up in a strong Christian home. In a fatherless generation he found that a startling number of fathers, like himself, were uncertain whether they had what it took to be "good" fathers. David has banded together with other men that desire a well-worn path to follow in a world where way too many men are checking out and walking out on their own families. Fathering Forward(TM) is a movement of fathers that reject passivity, sacrificially lead under Jesus Christ and teach their sons to do the same. The Fathering Forward P.A.T.H.(TM) provides a Christ-centered approach for raising sons that are prepared to father the next generation.
