Description
xLike all good fictional stories - this started out with a lot of truth in it... * The love of your life found, then lost...then found again? How - and when - does it all end?
* The same story from another side - 'Finding Rose' is a journey into places not yet visited.
* The happy ending to a saga with its roots reaching back a century, with 'The Sign of the Rose'. One reader wrote: "Are Rose and John made for each other and, if so, will their destinies bring them together again?" Finding Rose is a thoroughly enjoyable romantic novel that leaves you wanting to know more about the characters lives.
John is a village lad who meets Rose, a beautiful gypsy girl. How do they overcome all odds to finally fulfill their common destinies? Discover how two people embark on a journey of Romani gypsy life and love in 1960's, without knowing how, where, or with whom it will end. Will they survive as one? or apart? And what did happen in Rose's life in the seven 'missing years'? (Answers to that are in 'Rose: The Missing Years', Book 3.) Perhaps you will discover parts of your own story in theirs? There are no real answers here on how to deal with what life has thrown at you, including undying love, just as no-one could really help John and Rose. Nobody knows the answers to all the questions concerning love and life, otherwise novels like this would never be written. The author's romance novels have been called 'an easy read' where historical, location and fact entertain as well as to inform. This reality enriches and breathes life into the plot. Characters are believable, but you are left to explore the mysteries of the unknown that stretch your imagination. This must rank highly among those stories about Devon, Cornwall - and Leicester, with events set in Teignmouth, Plymouth, and St Ives. The author writes: "Even after several edits and rewrites prior to publication, I found that certain sections even moved me to tears - but in a good way. With that in mind I feel confident in recommending 'Finding Rose' and the whole 'Love should never be this hard' to all lovers of romantic fiction."
