Finding Self-Love in Poems: A Journey Through Grief, Growth and the Courage to Begin Again

Self-love. Two simple words. But for so many of us, especially women, it feels like a foreign language. We are quick to give compassion, yet slow to offer it inward. We show up for others, yet silence our own hurt. We carry on, often without pause, without healing.

Finding Self-Love in Poems is not just a poetry book. It's a companion for those navigating grief, hope, and healing. For anyone who has lost someone they love. For anyone trying to find themselves again. For those learning to embrace the mirror with softness instead of criticism.

Written by Heidi Prowse OAM, this heartfelt collection speaks directly to the tender moments we rarely share aloud. From the ache of death, grief and loss to the quiet strength of survival and renewal, these poems help you feel seen. Whether you're in the depths of sorrow or searching for the first flickers of light, this book offers both comfort and clarity.

Divided into three moving sections:

• At Rock Bottom - poetry of grief, heartbreak, and stillness

• Climbing - reflections on the messy, nonlinear journey of healing

• Under New Light - poetry for self love, hope, and the rediscovery of joy

Each poem is paired with space for your own reflections. It's more than reading, it's an experience. A reflections journal for women, a safe place to write, feel, and grow at your own pace.

If you're searching for poetry books about grief, or need a reminder that it's okay to fall apart before you rise, this book was written for you.

If you're looking for poetry books about self love and growth, or a gentle hand on your shoulder telling you you are enough, you'll find that here too.

And if you simply need a moment of stillness and a little more hope and positivity in your day, Heidi's words will meet you where you are and walk with you toward where you're going, even if that is a back step, sideways or forward.
