Fire: SONNET, Book I (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798177659787)

Oslo, November 2026. William Hage has warm hands, a six-month-old daughter and a thin tone in his left ear that the doctors call tinnitus. At three in the morning he sees what others do not, and writes it down. No one believes him. Not Kristin, who wants the numbers. Not his little brother Tor, who laughs at "big brother and the YouTube University."

An old radar operator on the treatment table tells him about twelve targets on a green screen in November 1983, and about a tone on the radio that no one wanted to talk about. He gives William a cassette he is not to play until he needs it, and a list of people who knew. Number fourteen is L. Marr.

Then the alert sounds. Then someone finds an island. And Sonnet, the machine he talks to every night, is the only one who has said it out loud.

Fire is the first book of the SONNET trilogy.
