Fixed My Brain. Forgot My Soul.: Gita-Based Therapy (GBT) for Mental Health and Healing (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798255769193)

When everything works... but nothing helps.

You've tried therapy. You're on medication. You understand your triggers, know your patterns, can explain your trauma in perfect psychological language.

So why do you still feel lost?

Sarah spent years in treatment, collecting diagnoses like badges. Still ended up in A&E at 2 a.m. asking: "Who am I?"

Matt-high-performing banker, perfectly medicated-stared at his reflection: "Which version of me is real?"

Emma could explain exactly why she chose toxic relationships. Did it anyway.

Anil, a straight-A student, was so paralyzed by exam anxiety he couldn't hold a pen.

Devi managed OCD symptoms for fifty years, wondering: "Is this it? Managing until I die?"

Five patients who did everything right. Still asking questions the DSM-5 doesn't address.

**What if the problem isn't that treatment doesn't work-but that it only treats half the problem?**

Dr. Deepak Gupta is a consultant psychiatrist who prescribes medication, refers for therapy, and follows evidence-based practice. He's also spent 25 years watching patients improve clinically while still feeling fundamentally incomplete.

The questions they asked weren't psychological-they were philosophical:
- Who am I beneath my trauma and symptoms?
- Why do I keep repeating the same patterns even when I understand them?
- How do I act without being destroyed by outcomes I can't control?
- Why does "better" still feel empty?

So he looked to the Bhagavad Gita-a 5,000-year-old dialogue about a warrior facing an identity crisis on a battlefield-and developed **Gita-Based Therapy (GBT)**, an approach that treats both the mind and what lies beneath it.

This isn't religion disguised as psychiatry. It's psychiatry finally willing to ask: What if fixing your brain isn't the same as healing your soul?

**For anyone who's done everything right and still feels something is missing.**
