Florida Real Estate Broker Prelicensing: 1st Edition (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781965482667)

Performance Programs Company's Florida Real Estate Broker Prelicensing is designed for the 72-hour broker prelicensing course, known as FREC Course II, that every licensed sales associate must complete to qualify for a Florida real estate broker license, as established by the Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC) under Chapter 475, Florida Statutes. The text prepares candidates to pass the state broker licensing examination and to take on the expanded legal, financial, and supervisory responsibilities a broker's license carries.

The textbook covers 18 chapters organized into four parts that build broker-level capability progressively: from the business of running a brokerage, through the valuation of real property, through the listing and selling of real property, and finally through specialty areas such as investment, land use, and property management. Throughout, national real estate principles are paired with the specific Florida statutes and FREC rules that control practice in the state.

Topics include the law of agency and Florida's brokerage relationships, escrow management and the Real Estate Recovery Fund, real estate valuation and the comparative market analysis, contracts, financing, and closings, federal income taxation, and land use, environmental, and property management law. The text also reflects recent Florida legislation, including foreign ownership restrictions, the residential flood disclosure law, and the latest condominium and homeowners' association reforms.

Each chapter opens with Learning Objectives and closes with a Snapshot Review of the key rules, definitions, and principles for focused exam preparation, and each includes a quiz, with a full practice examination at the back of the book. Performance Programs Company sells other Florida real estate books including Florida Real Estate Broker Postlicensing, Principles of Real Estate Practice in Florida, Florida Real Estate License Exam Prep, Florida Real Estate Continuing Education (FLACE), Florida Real Estate Postlicensing for Sales Associates (FREPSA), and more.
