I believe there is beauty in this perception, even with experiences that are flowering weeds or reminiscent of the foul-smelling corpse flower. Painful goodbyes may be the lilies of our lives, while the promise of tomorrow, the baby's breath. Rose petals pressed between the pages of dusty old books may represent the warmth we once felt when sharing love with another. In this collection of poems, the experiences and connections with people I write about are flowers collected along mine and the journeys of others. After a most challenging year 2020, I processed experiences through poetry, while reflecting on the purpose and meaning of my life and connection to others.
