My motivation for retelling these folklores was for the benefit of my grandchildren. I wanted them to understand that every culture is unique in their own rights even though their language is different from that of others. In our diverse society, it is very important that they learn to exercise tolerance at all times regardless. Although people are of a different culture or maybe eat unusual food, we are human beings. However, there is one language we all know how to speak and that is the language of Love and Kindness. With Love and tolerance, we can break all barriers. A smile can speak a thousand words as well as it can give off enough heat to warm the heart.
