Fool's Errand: Wisdom of a Fool, part 1 (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9789198922523)

Something strange is going on at Dohr's Manor, the place where people afflicted with the dreaded sickness are cared for. The money from the king has stopped coming and nothing works as it should.

Dokaius and Junia, two of the siblings who look after the Committed of the Manor, head for the capital to try to find an explanation. But strange things begin to happen as soon as they leave, and the answers they find are not what they expected.

The Wisdom of a Fool is set in the kingdom of Ireus in the world of Jenis: a place where magic was once commonplace but is now relegated to fairy tales, a place where enormous castles guard the northern plains against monstrous kobolds whose hordes burn everything in their path, a place where the Church of the Most High does its best to counter the influence of evil cultists, and where the past is not as dead and buried as many believe and hope.
