Footsteps of Heroes (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781918780017)

Those words, carved on the school monument, are an inspiration and a warning.

But at the prestigious Prince of Wessex School, they stand by their traditions, their honour, and their secrets.

Fourteen-year-old Alexander 'Davey' Davidson knows the rules - he's just not great at following them.

When he and the boys of West Dormitory stumble upon the legendary summa cum laude blazer, an artefact hidden for fifty years, they reopen the mystery of "Vanishing Vic" - a sporting and academic prodigy who disappeared without a trace in 1947.

After a friend is poisoned and a mentor is framed, they realise that walking in the footsteps of heroes is far more dangerous than they ever imagined.

In a world where silence is golden, Davey and his friends must decide what courage really means: protecting the institution they love... or daring to challenge it.

• Brotherhood and belonging
• Moral courage under pressure
• Tradition, loyalty, and truth
• Growing up inside institutions that shape who we become
