Forgive my Boldness: With his Hands in the Clam, the Art of Cooking if You're Lazy (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798872087656)

If you enjoy high-quality erotic fiction, witty social satire, and picaresque historical novels blended with diversity and traditional gastronomy, these uninhibited fictional memoirs will captivate you from beginning to end.

Years ago, while listening to the radio, Rosa decided to dictate her memoirs into a tape recorder. She did it as a game, exposing with sharp irony and sarcasm a fascinating life story that begins as a young maid in the kitchens of 1950s Madrid and culminates in the vibrant, open-minded neighborhood of Chueca in the late 1990s. Her journey is completely free of prejudice and packed with explicit, passionate sexual encounters that explore relationships in all their diversity (with both men and women), single motherhood, and the courage to run a business alongside her female partner.

I have been one of the few lucky ones who have been able to know the narration of a life lived in the kitchen, seasoned with juicy traditional recipes seamlessly blended into the plot and full of love affairs. This book shows us, through brilliant comedy and social parody, the small history of Spain for more than fifty years of social changes, heartaches, and small daily pleasures.

This book -my poor transcription of her words- intends to correct that unjust oblivion, making her memoirs full of passion, dark humor, and irony available to everyone.

Ah, don't forget to enjoy the recipes.
