Fortune's Hostage (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781845493813)

It is 1758. Portlander, Jack Easton has had his revenge; the corrupt official who made Jack a scapegoat for murder stands convicted and will hang. Jack is now set to return to his wife in Maryland in time for the birth of their first child. But while he might have won his freedom in the eyes of the law, his future is still uncertain. He must honour his commitment to a local militia joining the armies converging upon the Ohio to tackle the French and Indian threat. And new danger stalks him - a vicious aftermath from his assignment aboard the Rebecca. It will turn his world upside down... The author, a former fighter pilot and yachtsman, is no stranger to adventure. It is undoubtedly this background that endows his writing with such compelling quality. Fortune's Hostage, written with historical insight and in classic style, is a novel of outstanding breadth and atmosphere - a worthy and dramatic sequel to the author's successful debut novel, An American Exile. It will leave you wanting more.
