Whether you are 15, or 50 and recreating your life anew, I want to start a dialogue with you. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and mental health therapist and want to share my collective experiences, observations, learning and wisdom which have helped me, my clients, and my friends over the years to feel happier and better about being men. Some people may say it is inappropriate to talk to young men about some of the things this book is going to talk about. It is likely some people might even try and ban this book. Either way, honestly, it is time to take the risk. We boys and men are suffering in many ways. I believe in sharing this wisdom with you, and my own son, because I want you to be able to cut through all the bullshit that society and social media teach us about being men.

Since you may not have healthy men in your life with which you feel safe to discuss your struggles and hopes, my hope is that this book can be our space to think about them. To that aim, this book will encourage you to look deeper, at your own strengths and weaknesses, your confidences and insecurities. Hopefully, this will help you to reflect on the man you would like to become. Whether you choose to read it or not, I wish you all the best the world has to offer along your manhood journey, and that you may become the best version of your authentic self!
