Freedom In New South Wales Versus Oppression In Victoria: A Reply To The Age Articles (1887) (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781166924645)

""Freedom In New South Wales Versus Oppression In Victoria: A Reply To The Age Articles"" is a historical book written by Edward Pulsford in 1887. The book is a response to a series of articles published in The Age newspaper that criticized the political and social climate of New South Wales. Pulsford, a prominent political figure in New South Wales, uses this book to defend his state and refute the claims made by The Age. Pulsford argues that New South Wales is a land of freedom and opportunity, where individuals are free to pursue their dreams and aspirations without fear of oppression or discrimination. He contrasts this with the state of Victoria, which he characterizes as a place of oppression and tyranny, where the government and elites control every aspect of life. Throughout the book, Pulsford provides evidence to support his claims, drawing on historical and contemporary examples to illustrate the superior political and social climate of New South Wales. He also critiques the political and social systems of Victoria, highlighting the ways in which they restrict individual freedom and perpetuate inequality. Overall, ""Freedom In New South Wales Versus Oppression In Victoria: A Reply To The Age Articles"" is a fascinating historical document that sheds light on the political and social climate of Australia in the late 19th century. It is a must-read for anyone interested in Australian history, politics, and culture. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
